Over the weekend, some election news dropped throughout the world. First, in Ecuador, President Daniel Noboa, in a blatant move to keep power, declared a State of Emergency mere hours before voting began. Election results were not released before the deadline for news updates for this article. In Gabon, military dictator Brice Oligui Nguema won 90.35% of the vote. Over in Tanzania, the main opposition party, Chadema, was banned. A few days ago, I reported on their leader, Tundu Lissu, being charged with treason in a blatant power move by President Samia Suluhu Hassan to keep power. Finally, in the UK, a pro-Palestine Jew who was a member of the Labour party, but was kicked out for being pro-Palestine, won an appeal against the Labour Party.
